Annoucing Baby Redding #3

Wow.....am I behind

Caleb is 15 months old today and I haven't posted anything since he was six months.  Where do I begin?  Caleb continues to be one of the happiest little babies ever but with every day he elevates his level of mischief.  Even Cole often refers to him as the beast.  He still isn't walking so I can only imagine what sort of trouble he will find when he is even more mobile.  Cole adores Caleb and really is the best big brother.  He is very excited for baby Redding #3 to arrive and often offers me his food because the "baby" wants it.  Below are all of the pics that I have been so behind in posting.

Time is flying

I can't believe how quickly the boys are growing.  It seems like just yesterday we were bringing Cole home from the hospital so it doesn't even seem possible that Caleb is already 6 months old.  They both make us smile and laugh daily.  Caleb is quite possibly the most relaxed happy baby ever and while the terrible twos are in effect Cole is also a very happy little boy too (usually).  They keep us busy, but we couldn't be happier.  That being said I am way behind on posting so its time to play catch up with a lot of pictures.

Growing like a weed

Caleb is growing like crazy and time is just flying by.  I am a little behind on posting but here are his 1 and 2 month pictures.  Such a happy sweet little boy!

A Lesson from Cole

Much to our regret, Cole has learned the "s" word.  When he would say it I would quickly tell him we don't say that word we say "oh snap!".  For a little while this worked but Cole's newest thing is to tell people now "we don't say oh shit, we say oh snap!".....oh snap is right.

We have also been working with Cole on his manners - specifically please and thank you and saying excuse me when he burps or toots.   Caleb is QUITE the gassy baby and the other night we were coming home from school and Caleb let out a very loud toot.  Cole quickly turned to him and said "Caleb, say excuse me!"

Our crazy life with 2 little boys

Overall everyone has adjusted very well to the new addition to our family.  Cole still loves to give Caleb kisses and isn't jealous at all, we are pretty lucky.  Both boys are growing like crazy and make us smile daily.

Cole continues to be a source of entertainment for us all on a regular basis.  He recently learned the expression "are you mocking me?" which is pretty funny coming from a 2 year old, he even knows to use it in the correct context.  Most commonly, if you cough after he coughs he will say "are you mocking me?".  Yesterday I was making him breakfast and dancing while doing it, Cole had woken up on the wrong side of the bed that morning, and told me "no shake your booty Mommy".  We can chalk that up as another expression I never thought I would hear from my son!  Just wait until he is old enough for me to embarrass him with my dance moves!

Meet Caleb Lee

Our little bundle of joy decided to arrive about 3 weeks earlier than his due date and exactly 2 weeks before his scheduled arrival, catching us a little by surprise but we are so excited he is here!

Caleb Lee Redding was born on Monday, June 23rd at 4:12am and weighed 7lbs, 3 oz and 20 inches long.  Cole is a proud big brother and just loves to give him kisses ALL.THE.TIME.

We are so blessed to have these two precious boys in our lives!

Our new home

The Reddings have moved to the suburbs.  We are so excited to have purchased our first house together and to start making this house a home!

Cole is 2

How is that even possible?  It is pretty hard to imagine what our lives were like prior to this silly, adorable, caring, kind little boy coming into our world.  We wouldn't change a thing.  We are so proud of him already at only 2 years old.  Cole has moved up to the 2 year old room now at school and as he was transitioning we had many of the parents tell us how sweet Cole is and how helpful he has been with their little ones which are the younger kids in the 1 year old room - it doesn't get much better than that!  On top of being so sweet he makes us laugh daily with his silliness!

Mommy's Heavy

So Cole has turned into quite the little parrot and his memory is pretty remarkable.  He also likes to turn things on you for example if I say "Cole's silly" he will respond with "Mommy's silly" and/or "Daddy's Silly"  This morning I was carrying him up the stairs and at the top of the landing I put him down and he beat me to the punch and said "Cole heavy!"  and when I agreed he then stated "Mommy heavy" - oh geez thanks Cole, nice thing to tell your preggers Mom!

Conference Reports

Cole is not quite even 2 years old and we are already getting conference reports for him from his school.  Now don't get me wrong I LOVE LOVE LOVE his school and all of his teachers but Ryan and I just had to chuckle at a couple of the items that are part of his report.  See Below

Parent Comments:  Signs of stress?  At 23 months what stress in life could he possibly have....  Are they serving fish today at school for lunch again?  Are we going to be able to go outside today since its raining?

No Cheese for Breakfast

Every time we open the refrigerator and Cole would see cheese he wanted to eat some.  After a couple of days of hearing me say "no cheese for breakfast" he has now added this to his vocabulary and pretty much every day tells Ryan and I "no cheese for breakfast".   Now that is something I never thought I would have to teach my Texas born son!
